Cocktail Hour- A beautiful DJ (Magic House) or band show. In this Joys showcases a mix of soul, blues and urban songs from artists such as Aretha Franklin, Eurythmics, Brand New Heavies, Alicia Keys, Adelle, Rhianna and even a little bit of Black Eyed Peas!! The sound is fresh, new and very modern. This set is perfect 'background' entertainment whilst guests chat or dine. Joys' ability to create intricate interesting and musical 'mash-ups' sets her apart from others. Joys has a chosen DJ whom she works with as well as talented musicians who she works with regularly. From a sweet duo (either piano or guitar), a four piece band (JoysSoul Band) and arrangements can be made for larger bands for your event. The styles to choose from are Jazz, Neo Soul, Blues. This show covers and renditions of sweet soul music by Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and the Pips to modern Divas Alicia Keys and Beyonce. This is Melbourne's party band. Consisting of a large horn section led by John Montesante, GrandWazoo is a Melbourne musical institution. Joys has been a part of this line up for 9 years and has recently re-joined as a permanent member of the vocal line up which includes MC Wylie J Miller and songstress Samantha Morley. GrandWazoo play a selection of tunes from Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Tina Turner, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave and many other Motown legends.
